There is not specific way to close your spell crafting circle. This article is a guideline for future reference and I hope it gives you enough basic information to expand upon your own knowledge and style. You can find many traditional ways of doing things by reading and researching but I think the beauty of finding your path and modifying the ways things were done in the past breeds creativity and bring joy to the art that is witchcraft. When you are done with your spell or ritual it is common to close the crafting circle. The most common way to close your circle is by reversing what you did to open the circle.

How to Close Your Circle

• Thank the Guardians and mentally send the light of the candles to the Universe or whoever you have in mind that needs it.
• If you have candles and they were lit in a particular order then put out the lights in the opposite order.
• Close the circle by simply stating:

Let this circle come uncast but never be unbroken. Merry Meet and Merry Part until we Merrily Meet again. As I will it so mote it be.

• Leave any altar or holy ritual candles to burn down completely.

What You’ll Need:

• earth
• blessed water
• new age music (optional)
• follow this process 1 or more per day

1. Dressed in white (if you are doing this as part of a larger ritual, if you are adding this to your daily practice wearing white isn’t a requirement) ground yourself under a large tree, if this isn’t possible you may alter this to your situation (opening a window, sitting on a deck or going to a national/local park).
2. Place the enhanced water on both palms and your temples.
3. Close your eyes and breathe in through your nose while thinking of light and breathe out, exhaling out the worries of the day, of the past and of the worries of the future.
4. After awhile you will enter into your trance state. If thoughts come creeping into your moment of connection let them come and go refocusing on the light. If you try to fight these thoughts you will lose your connection just let them flow.
5. You will know when this moment of lucidity is ready to end. Give thanks and return to your daily life.

This spell is a wonderful way to connect to the earth. This has some elements of ‘grounding’ the process of connecting your bare feet to the earth. This spell uses knot magick. Knot magick is good for getting rid of illnesses; this spell is one that will help to do this. Knots work to bind things and this spell works on the principle of binding the illness into the cord, so is a form of sympathetic magick combined with positive mental attitude. This is a white magick healing spell.

YOU WILL NEED:

• 20 cm (8 inch) length of cord
• Pen and paper
• Container of salt
• 1 white candle

METHOD
?Do a minor purification ritual before starting.

? Mark the cord six times so that you have seven equal lengths.

? Light your white candle.

? Take a few deep breaths and feel your energy connecting with the earth.

? Repeat the following words six times and tie a knot in the cord each time:

Sickness, no one bids you stay.
It’s time for you to fade away.
Through these knots I bid you leave,
By these words which I do weave.

? Put the cord in the container of salt (this represents burying in the earth).

? Create a seal for the container with the above incantation written on the paper.

? Dispose of the container, perhaps in running water.

? Let your candle burn down.

The number six has particular relevance here: it is widely accepted as the number of the Sun, which is
restorative and regenerative. I have also added other elements of the Sun by doing this spell on Sunday and making sure to add yellow tools to my altar. You can add other elements like incense, other candles and lemon herb.

We are well into the new year and a lot of us (mainly me) have not worked hard enough to achieve our goals. This is a ritual that I am doing for 30 days and its worth it. I have be slacking in almost every area of my life lately. I made ambitious goals and so far have been too lazy to do the real work on creating my new reality. We are going to rely on the energy of our hearts, our creative thoughts, the physical Goddess energy and the masculine God energy for stamina. Let’s go!

Sunday is one of my favorite spell days, its correspondences include lemon and the color yellow. All of these elements work together and create very powerful energies for spell work. I am going to use these elements in various ways to help create the habits that will decide the spell results.

I have lemon candles. I placed lemons on the dining room table. I smoke lemon incense when I meditate. I drink lemon water and am wearing more yellow. I also carry a citrine crystal with me. I try to use the elements anyway I can.

I started this spell on Sunday. I did a detailed cleaning, ate clean and worked out. Afterwards I lit my lemon candles and wrote a detailed plan on how I was going to achieve my goal set by step. Making sure to list the little things I would need to do every single day to get the results I wanted. I found a white card and in black ink I wrote my 30 day goals on the card.

I read the card 5 or more times a day in front of the mirror and looking myself in the eyes. I try to truly believe what I read and feel the emotions of achieving my goals. Every night I journal what I did today to become the person I want to be. I am really busy and I feel as though I have to schedule my social life into my calendar, on the flip side I love having more resources and a nicer quality of life to make those memories even more fulfilling.

Groundhog Day is a traditional day celebrated every year on February 1 when the groundhog wakes from its hibernation and comes out to greet the sun. If it sees its shadow, we have six more weeks of winter to look forward to. If it’s cloudy then spring is upon us. But this day has deeper roots as well in Imbolc, also known as Candelmas and Brigid’s night, a midwinter fire festival that honors Brigid, the Celtic goddess of the hearth and flame.

This day marks not only the groundhog’s weather prediction of an early or late spring, but also the welcoming of the warmth and light of the sun’s return after a long winter. It is one of the four fire festivals marking the transition point from winter to the beginning of planting season. Imbolc marks a time of new beginnings.

The rituals of Imbolc use fire and flame to represent the renewing strength of the sun. Traditionally on this day, every light in the house is lit at sunset or after ritual to honor the sun’s return.

Since this day is also known as Brigid’s day, rituals usually include paying tribute to the goddess. On this day Wiccans may light different colored candles, a white one for Brigid and yellow or red for the god to mark the passing from winter back into the light. This time is often used for initiations as well.

Imbolc also marks the festival of calving and so appropriate foods for ritual may include forms of dairy. Also hot foods and spices can be included to honor the power of the sun. Since it is still winter, white flowers or a bit of snow can be used on altars as well.

As a festival of fertility, it is a good time for Imbolc rituals that promote growth in any form. Seeds and buds may be used to represent the new life that springtime often brings. A common part of ritual on this day is to prepare a Brideog, a straw doll traditionally dressed in white and kept on the altar for the rest of the year as a reminder of this important festival.
