This article explains how to prepare the ritual area and what you can do to prepare yourself before this pagan ritual or any other pagan ritual you do. Feel free to change anything you don’t like because this is just how I personally do things.

The Pagan Ritual

When doing any type of pagan ritual first you should shut all the blinds, curtains and windows. This will help to get your ritual area ready by creating privacy. Close lock all doors and if you have a do not disturb sign make sure you place it on your door. Most people do ritual work at night in order to nor be bothered or distracted. You need to be able to focus and most people need complete privacy in order to obtain this. In you are interrupted while your ritual you might be shocked into sending your ritual energy to anywhere under the stars. You should never be distracted during a ritual.

Move any furniture, or electronics that might be in your way. Remove anything that doesn’t belong in the area which you have decided is your ritual area. Remove anything stink or foul smelling from the room (especially ashtrays!). Bad smells can break your concentration and state of mind! Try a ritual bath if find its you that’s stinky. Don’t watch clocks because its disrespectful to the spirits. Cover all clocks and time face plates with black tape of black cloth.

Make sure the floors or the ritual area is clean. Vacuum and if you don’t have carpet then sweeping and mopping will do just fine. Why? First for safety reasons, and secondly to show honor and respect to the magick involved with the pagan ritual. When doing nay sort of pagan ritual it is important to show respect to all elements involved, how can you show honor and respect in a dirty little area? If you are doing an important or a very ceremonial pagan ritual then you may want to wash your floors twice. Once just to get the the grime and dirt off the floor and the second time you may want to include a tea made with herbs appropriate to your ritual. Test the tea on a small area on your floor a week before your ritual. You don’t want to harm your floors!

Now that everything is out the way and cleaned, get your ritual gear out! You can robe or disrobe and start your ritual. Some people do their ritual baths before doing their rituals and some include it in their ritual practice. Most of the smaller details are just a matter of personal opinion. You can wear what you want but I would suggest wearing something that you only wear during ritual time like this ritual robe.

This is the classic recipe and has been used throughout time. I use prosperity oil for money spells, luck spells and whole host of other spells and I think it is a wonderful addition to any witch’s’ kitchen. Oils are wonderful accents to spells and as you get more into witchcraft and learn a little more oils and herbs will become more important to you. The steps are simple and you can add or take away any items you want BUT this is pefect as is.

You should make this on a Thursday night sometime within the waxing moon. You can also do it on the night of the full moon, but that isn’t mandatory. After you make the oil you shouldn’t use it for the next six weeks. This will make the magick inside the oil more potent and I haven’t had as good results with oils I only allowed to sit for 4 or 5 weeks. If you must use the oil make sure it has set for at least 3 weeks.

Prosperity Oil

What You’ll Need:

• Sunflower seeds
• a same coin
• basal leaves
• allspice
• bay berry
• a dark bottle
• base oil

Mix the ingredients together as you visualize great wealth and prosperity flowing to you. You can say a chant or affirmation while you are doing this. Place a sparkling clean dime or small silver coin into the base of the bottle. You can clean the dime with baking soda and a tooth brush to get it clean. Pour the ingredients into the bottle and let it sit in dark area for six weeks.

Simple spells you can do with this oil include getting a strip of green cloth, placing 7 drops of oil onto the cloth and carrying it in your purse, wallet or whatever you use to carry your cash.

You can also wear the oil as a perfume, great before job interviews or wearing to work everyday.

Give one of the bottles to your lover and keep your bottle in a safe place. Make sure your lover keeps the bottle somewhere safe preferably where you can see it everyday. You can keep the bottle on your altar or in the highest place in your room.

When the relationship is over empty the contents of the bottle in a bonfire to symbolize the end of the bond between you.

This spell is simple but really relies on the current bond between you and your lover. This spell works to strengthen the bond between you using the gift as a reminder of the love between the two of you.

This spell is suggested to be done on the night of the full moon but should also be done with Venus in mind. The next full moon occurring on a Friday will be April 6th 2012.

On a Wednesday night anoint your candles with the seduction oil. Grab a small pinch of the sugar and throw it into the wine. Hold your power hand over the wine glass while holding the base of the wine glass with the opposite hand. Thrice say:

Place the wine glass on top of the mirror and light the blue candle. Take the blue candle and light the pink candle. Place the candles on either side of the mirror. It should be the blue candle, the wine glass and then the pink candle. Let the candles burn for six minutes. While the candles are burning focus on the wine glass. On the seventh minute drink the wine while seeing your self filled with attracting energy.

You can also place the wine bottle on the altar while you are doing this to infuse the bottle with seduction. This is good to do if you can have the person drink the wine before the next new moon.

When it comes to the challenges that life throws our way, every religion has one. Christianity and Catholicism are accused of being too closed-minded and hypocritical. Most covens figure out a way around that by finding a place in nature that will hold space large enough for them to convene. On the other hand, they still have to plan outings around the weather. If it is raining or storming, they might as well reschedule. Other religions don’t face that problem; other religions have churches to assemble in.

Not only do they have space but they also have community resources and resources from the church treasury if a member of the congregation falls gravely ill or if a family loses their house due to a fire. Most Wicca covens don’t have that resource. If a member of their coven is struck by calamity, most of what they can do is just pray for things to get better and to help out their fellow Wiccan in small ways.

While some claim that Wicca is the fastest-growing religion in the country, it is still behind when it comes to resources focused on helping the members of the faith. It will need to grow and gain civil and community resources in order to truly be a member of the majority. Somehow, I don’t think that they will have any trouble achieving this particular goal. After all, Wicca seems to be a determined and peaceful religion and their troubles could greatly decrease in the future.

 A Spell to Ask for Luck

This spell will not work when the moon is waning. Cast it on a Thursday before the full moon. If it can be done during Sagittarius, all the better. You can strengthen the magic by wearing blue clothes and loading the candles with sandalwood essential oil. You need to know your birth number. Calculate this by adding together the day, the month and the year you were born, then adding the digits of the answer together. If this results in a two-digit number, add these together.

You will need:

• One white altar candle
• One blue taper candle
• Several coins
• A sprig of white heather
• A sprig of clover
• A piece of gold or silver jewellery
• Amber or citrine crystals
• A piece of paper
• A pencil or pen
• A fireproof dish

Write the number down on the paper and place it on the altar. That done, kneel in front of it, light the white candle and meditate on your heart’s desire, visualizing your wish coming true. Before midnight on Samhain – November Eve, the most magickal night of the year, prepare some feast food such as bread made of pumpkin, corn or other harvest crops. Brew some mugwort tea.

Now cast a circle: Place small rocks or stones around the circle area and light the four directions of East, West, North and South with white pillar candles.

Walk slowly round the circle with a lit white candle to cleanse its energy. You will need to find a wolf’s paw print on the night of the new moon. You must drink water from the paw print and say the following 9 times:

After you do this forget fully about your wish to become a wolf. Sometime during the next three full moons you will transform into a Wolven!

Make sure you don’t just go out and try to find a wolf print. For this spell to work you have to find the wolf print on the NIGHT of the new moon. If you can’t do this easily then unfortunately it isn’t in your destiny to become a werewolf. Maybe you will get lucky and a werewolf will bite you!

You don’t have to be wiccan or pagan to find use information that you can use. Many pagans are not wiccans even when having similar practices.
